The poem entitled "Earthly Fugitive – Lunar Fugitive" is the fourth poem in the cycle "The Mystery of the Moonlight Path".

Explanation of the title: An earthly fugitive is someone who appears as a fugitive, who is unwelcome anywhere, and who has nothing, yet is not a beggar. As a parallel, the lunar fugitive appears in the title, who is the same man, on the Moon, if he were to escape there. The inner essence remains; only the external circumstances change. I created this phrase for this poem.

The key is the secret-keeping: if such a person can do it and reach the Moon as a mystery knower or secret knower, then the mystery unfolds, symbolized by the crescent amulet. The Luna's Sage also appears on the silver ladder: anyone who wants to know the Lunar secret must get to him.

The poem is framed, and finally, the closing stanza gives way to the mystery. Its atmosphere is mystical and full of symbols.

I used the word 'Moon' in the original poem, but in the translation I changed it to 'Luna'.

I wish you a good reading and reflection on the poem.

If the fugitive flees to the Luna,
He will be anon a fugitive, lunar.
For he who keeps no secret knows naught,
He runs in vain, gains but naught.

If a secret knowing comes to the Moon,
A crescent moon amulet is anon drawn!
The crescent amulet on his forehead is bright,
Mystery resounds, magical might...

If a secret knowing captivates you,
He sings a flowing song, his veil enwraps you.
Lunar secret, magic might revive on his tune,
Luna's sage at a silver moon ladder waits for you.

Step up, climb to the silver moonlight,
To desire anything is ever futile!
For so a fugitive flees to the Luna,
Anon, he will be a fugitive, lunar!
