Hidden in the Light,
by J. W. Cassandra

My poem "Hidden in Light" is the seventh poem of my first volume, titled Eternity Awakened to Self-Consciousness, of the cycle entitled The Book of the Stars. As such, it shows the way to the spiritual development of the being that has entered into existence and to the hopeful return. The path opens in a trembling starlight, and the earthly lake, the earthly robe, glitter in its smouldering fire and sparkling light. The way opens upwards after the creature yields to the invitation and bathes his or her face in the light of the stars. The warning also indicates that the starlight of the earthly lake, despite all its charm, can never take him or her back to the upper heavens, from whence the soul descended, and where "the fulness of wisdom dwells hidden in light." That is, for those who descend into earthly existence, the light of the stars shows the way back.
I will soon share the poem on my social media accounts, including my Facebook page. Link: www.facebook.com/j.w.cassandra

Wash your face in the light of the stars,
Immerse in a lake sparkling with starlight!
May the magic cover you with silver light of the
moon:
Let the fancy of your cloak lend a fiery
Fire of the sparkling sky!
But, however glittering this sky's borrowed light is
on you,
The borrowed light cannot eclipse it; only
reflection
Remains of sky bathing in light,
of real gems sparkling in light…
Bathe your face in the light of the stars!
On its trembling path, go higher and higher!
Stepping higher, reach deeper into the heavens,
Give your life a renewed framework
A gemstone stud in a flood of starry tears!
But remember: stepping into a starlit lake,
However beautiful this light is, it will never take you
back
Into the shimmering upper skies,
Where a wise fullness dwells hidden in light.
