Song of Completeness,
by J. W. Cassandra

The Song of Completeness is the sixth poem of the first cycleentitled Book of Stars of my volume entitled Eternity Awakened to Self-Consciousness. It begins from the lyrical self and its projection, from his or her home, and then through the stars arrives at the real being. The discovery is triggered by the alien or outlandish feeling and comes to the mysticism, which is conveyed by the starlight, while it also reveals the Book of Stars. The past is just as much a part of it as the present and the future. The song of completeness is not heard by the victim, but only by the Child of the Eternal Being, who understands both the soul and the Book of Stars. The key phrase of the poem is:
"A victim is one who feels like a victim,
He who is a part of the Eternal Being hears the song
of wholeness..."
This song encompasses the mortal and the immortal, the ordinary and the occult, the supernatural - everything. Its form is free verse.
Starlight, when it flashes in your mirror at night,
Opens a whirlpool of abyss, it evaporates glimmering,
Home of strange life opens up to your eyes:
You see yourself, your home, like never before.
An unknown room looks back from the mirror,
It shows desires and inner self of an unknown being.
With a light never seen before, it reveals your entity,
And you see sharply: you do not know him.
You can run away from him or peek from outside –
You see who you are as a stranger: you can step out of
the water
To the glittering sky of shining life, where arch of
starlight
Writes its melodies in a curious heart.
You can get to know the one you have not seen before,
You can meet face to face at his peeping desire
With the entity of yourself hiding in a mysterious
veil of mist,
Which, seen in starlight, is identical to the entity of
eternal Beings.
Curious starlight arch draws in your mirror
The hidden page of the Book of Stars,
Conjures there the mirror of eternity,
It makes you see its shining entity.
And now you also see: you are who you were,
Not a stranger, for a psalm resounds in your heart.
Psalm about sacrifice, hell of suffering,
A paean for who you once have been.
You have remained that also, and you see already:
On the arch of starlight, the sacrifice does not hurt
either.
A victim is one who feels like a victim,
He who is a part of the Eternal Being hears the song
of wholeness...
The song is written in the Book of Stars,
No victim hears it, he opens it in vain.
But the Child of the Eternal Being, who is pure, hears
it,
A melody flies down in an arch star-veiled,
It vibrates sparkling until it splashes into your
soul.
The soul shakes, life burdened with secrets gives a
sweet flavour,
Splashing starlight casts its ripple into the lake...
