The Fire Dragon’s Song
by J. W. Cassandra

"The Fire Dragon's Song " can be found in the second cycle of my first poetry book, "Eternity Awaken to Self-Consciousness", entitled "The Firestorm of Creation". This is the sixth poem of the cycle.
The poem itself is irregular, stormy, like all manifestations of the Dragon. The verb 'raging' is repeated over and over again throughout the poem, and in the Dragon's song, the colours, the sky, the earth, the landscape, and the mountain are linked to it. Thus, everything proclaims the power of the Dragon. This power is overwhelming, and the song is coupled with dance. The key to the quality of the dance here is the colour of the fire: blue and green are the colours of the sky and the earth on the one hand, but on the other hand, they are also the colours of magic fire. Thereby, the dance accompanying the song becomes a magic dance from a cosmic creative dance depicted in the earlier poem "The Fire Dragon's Dance" to a magical dance, a magical creative moment.
The magical power is manifested in the third stanza: " A fire rages inside you – it catches up with you..." Both the refrain and the question that follow it emphasize the magical nature of creation: irresistible and invincible. The song is the song of magical creative power.
Blue is raging,
Green is raging,
The earth is raging,
The sky is raging...
Do you still resist with
Raging Fire Dragon?
Fire rages on mountain top,
Fire rages in the depths of water,
Fire rages in the air,
Fire rages in the depths of the mountain...
Throw thyself into fire from fire,
If you want to keep surviving!
Fire dragon's fire eye, the flame
escorts you;
A fire rages inside you – it catches
up with you...
Blue is raging,
Green is raging,
The earth is raging,
The sky is raging...
Do you still resist with
Raging Fire Dragon?
